MedCurate is a platform that directly connects healthcare providers with healthcare organizations, cutting out the middleman of staffing agencies. It allows you to create your own schedule, pick the shifts you want, and earn competitive pay. MedCurate is committed to addressing the healthcare staffing crisis by offering flexible staffing solutions, founded by healthcare providers who understand the challenges on the frontlines.
Where is MedCurate located?
MedCurate operates in hospitals, surgery centers, outpatient clinics and home health agencies. Once you sign up, you’ll have access to available shifts in your area.
How can I determine my pay?
Use our pay calculator to estimate your earnings for each shift, based on factors like shift type, location, and time worked. It’s an easy way to see how much you can earn.
How quickly do I get paid?
You can expect payment to be initiated within 72 hours after completing a shift, ensuring quick and accurate compensation.
How quickly can I pick up a shift?
Once you sign up and complete the registration process, you can start picking up shifts right away. If you sign up on a Monday, you could be ready to work as early as Friday.
How many shifts am I required to work?
With MedCurate, you are your own boss and can pick up as few or as many shifts as your schedule allows.
What information is required to create my profile?
Starting your profile is easy. Simply fill out some basic demographic information, sign our user agreement, complete a competency and upload your required documents including work history, vaccine information, licensure, and certifications. Is there any cost me to use MedCurate to pick up shifts?
No, there is no subscription fee or other cost to use MedCurate. The only out-of-pocket expense is the background check and drug screen, which ranges from $97-$110 depending on your state.
After you pick up two shifts, MedCurate pays a $50 onboarding bonus. If this cost is a barrier, please discuss with Kathryn, onboarding specialist, at kathryn@medcurate.com.
Do I have to provide my own occupational hazard insurance?
You are welcome to provide your own insurance if you prefer to do so. Otherwise, MedCurate procures this coverage on your behalf and a $5.00/shift deduction covers this cost.
What is the difference between 1099 and W2 workers?
MedCurate users are 1099 contractors. This means you are your own boss, with the freedom to choose when and where you work. You have more control over your schedule and pay, and while you’re responsible for managing your taxes, you benefit from more flexible work arrangements.
How do I obtain my year end 1099 tax statement?
1099 tax statements are emailed annually by January 31st. If you have not received your statement, please reach out to support@medcurate.com and a member of our team will assist you.
How can I earn a bonus?
Refer a friend to MedCurate, and after they complete their first two shifts, you’ll earn a $150 bonus. It’s a simple way to help others join the MedCurate community while earning extra income.
